Interesting. But is your refutation of Buddhism not just a staunch Cartesian asserting his philosophy?

I wouldn't say Buddhism necessarily claims that thoughts are illusions.... or at least Zen Buddhism certainly doesn't... When you're thinking, thoughts are real—even the most real, as you suggest—but when you're not thinking, they are not. If you ask thought: "What's real?", then it will say, "Me!"... which is what you've done... so you're not wrong... but then again, you most certainly are...

To be fair, you do point out that "Buddhism has many schools of thought that disagree with each other." So, fair enough. Buddhism is wrong...
