I think it would be crazy to underestimate either Intel or Apple, at this point. And in truth, that's good for us all, as it should mean faster machines with lower power requirements (which is good for the planet). So it's kinda win-win-win. But I will say that if Apple (and AMD) hadn't lit the fire under their butts, I'm not sure Intel would have been seen pushing the dev roadmap much. Maybe, but with no viable competition, it's hard to say.
