AI reading things is not the same as a person reading things, because an AI is not a person; and so fair-use laws do not apply to AI. AI reading and incorporating what humans have created is equivalent to copying the work wholesale; AI that generates new works after having incorporated a human-produced work is, in effect, copying the human work.
