The (other) great pandemic of our time is the horrific and deeply misguided habit of putting living, breathing human beings into idiotic, generalizing bins of race, class, gender, age, and whatever-the-f***-other fiction we glean from a sophomoric first-read of the critical theory flavour of the day. We have to get over it asap, because it's destroying culture and turning perfectly reasonable people into zealots and micro-fascists.

Also, there's a difference between wanting to be seen to care and actually caring.
